2021 Mid-Ohio Post Race Impound Protest Results  Event Director - Dana Morrison Tech Inspector - Ray Franck Venue - Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course - Club Circuit, Saturday 8-Hour Enduro Protest Details: During the impound period following the Saturday race, a team filed a protest alleging car 983 had improperly claimed the swapped engine components on their tech inspection form. Specifically, that 983 is running a 2002 (or newer) VVT style block and lower unit along with a 1999 head and intake assembly.  Event: Nelson Ledges 8+7-Hour Enduro July 17, 2021 Event/Race Director - Chelsey Vickery Tech Inspector - Thomas O'Rourke Protest by : The captain of team 918 Protest Details: The protest that was given stated suspicion of sequential shifters in both car numbers 942 and 943.  Tech Inspector / Race Director final findings: After sitting in both cars and going through the gears it was found that both cars did have left and right movement for the normal shifting pattern. No sequential type shifting was found.  Protest deemed invalid; no penalties were added.

  With the passing of Doc Waldrop, there was an open position on the ChampCar Board of Directions. The Board of Directors decided to offer the open position to Rodger Coan based on the most recent election results. Rodger Coan accepted the Board of Directors role and will start immediately.
